Alan you really are being bit of a ? & not offering any good or practical advise.
I would gladly do an exchange deal, genuine Cup for Gold Cup, but that doesn't help the OP.
I do hope he takes it to NAD as it will attract a lot of attention & possibly a buyer. I've been through all this before & could've sold it to at least 3 people without even advertising it. What it sold for then is between the OP & me, I discounted it to allow for the paintwork & the ABS light, but it was for very strong money then & with the paintwork etc now all sorted is worth £10k.
It appears some people would like to see it sell for far less than it's worth just to satisfy their 'annoyance' at it being such a rare car & probably better than theirs, ridiculous I know but that's how it seems.
It's not a copy or a replica..it's YELLOW for ****'s sake, got e/seats, full leather & a sun roof! Please show me a Cup with that spec.
You recently compared Cup-a-likes to fake Rolex's...where is your logic in that? A Cup-a-like is still a genuine GTV with (sometimes) genuine Zender/Cup body parts fitted costing plenty of money, it also feels the same-unlike a fake Rolex. A fake Rolex costs peanuts compared to a real one & is made in Taiwan out of inferior materials. I paid £40 for my fake Rolex(it has an Alfa Romeo badge in place of the Rolex symbol) but around genuine Cup money for my real one, possibly more than you paid for your Cup!?
Please stop using the word 'replica' as NO ONE is claiming to have Cup replicas.
Love & kisses.
Clive Clive Clive.
Its only a replica in appearance on the outside.
Just as the Red Cup a Replica likes are.
Please don't get so upset about the word REPLICA
I did offer genuine advice about a market value.
I see the price I mentioned was approx also suggested by another member.
Equally in a difficult market perhaps to have another car to fall in love with might make ALFA want to drive it and use that new car more.
Hence a genuine piece of pratical advice to contact the seller (you) and see if he could swop it.
I will ignore the personal remark(s) which was a bit of a poor show.
If I offended you I apologize.
If you rate the Gold Cup car so wonderfully highly in terms of value buy it back.
If you don't have the space as you mention to increase the car inventory perhaps offering a swop as I suggested may well suit both parties (another car to drive and hopefully make ALFA drive it more unless he just wants/needs to sell it and drop some money on the deal) and you with a winner and a profitable one as well on the forecourt.
I offered advice, whether its good or bad, pratical or not in your opinion, it was still genuinely offered.
And as for the "love and kisses" remark, Clive go back to your symbols please !!
