Creaky rear end with powerflexing
My v6 3.0 phase 2 GTV was had the rear end powerflexed by Auto Lusso in the UK by the previous owner at 85,000 miles. It's now done 98,000 miles and noticed the other day a creaking noise come from the right-hand side rear suspension. When you rock the car by pulling up and down the rear wheel arches you can hear it too. Its fairly loud and is more a creaky noise rather than a squeak.
I know this is a hot topic on here the whole powerflex issue and I'm aware it hasn't been resolved yet as to the longevity of polyurethane bushes, so it couldn't be worn bushes? could it be the sub-frame though? But surely when they were fitting the new bushes they would have found sub-frame issues - oval shaped holes - and rectified it. So all going accordingly it shouldn't be the sub-frame either.
Shocks? it has FK shocks and springs all round, and the front ones are completely knackered but the rear seem fine according to the mechanic a Fiat dealership in Clonmel and recommended Alfa specialist in the Republic of Ireland by thread on this website. Apart from the noise everything seems tight.
