Edizione Sportiva

Does anyone on AO have one? I've seen a few on the web... but just a couple. As I'm aware it was a limited edition GTV with electric black leather seats with red stitching. I think the speedo is also different. It's black and has chrome rings inside.

Well, if someone is lucky and owns one, would it be a problem to take some detailed photos of the seats as I'm planning to do something similar with mine?

Thanks

Hi there, last year I imported a GTV Edizione Sportiva from Germany. It is a very nice version of the GTV which was only delivered in Germany. They were limited to 500 V6 and 500 2.0 models, so they are quite rare. Similar to the Cup version that was delivered in the UK. In Holland we got neither one unfortunately.

The Edizione Sportiva has the following specials:
- 17inch teledials
- chrome rings around black dials (speedo, rev, and the 3 in the middle console)
- Zender air vents
- black leather with red stitching in combination with red carpet

Please find attached some pictures of the interior.

Regs,
Jim

Wow, thanks! That's my favorite edition of the GTV. Absolutely love those seats! They were only available in black, right?

I don't think it was. Seen a few on the web and none had the vents.

Not really fussed on that, not wishing to cause offence but it looks a rather pointless special edition, at least with the GTV Cup you could tell it was different to the normal GTV.

So how can you say you cant tell the difference between these versions and a standard GTV?

The Cup seems to me to be very ordinary with cloth seats etc compared to these German specials - they had much better interiors, exteriors in Silver, Blue and Black and with Spider versions as well - IMO the Cup version is very over rated compared to these beauties

However, as usual with marketing 'specials', its only cosmetic changes with no performance improvements - the only manufacturer GTV special that seems to be worth having is the V6 TB specials that were bound to Japan - see a recent thread on this subject

Maybe i should have worded my answer better, i agree the interior on the Cup is not the best with the cloth seats and is maybe slightly over rated but at least visually, it looks different to a standard GTV.

No matter what anyone tells you..The Cup is a GTV in a party dress....It had not more power or any other performance upgrades......It was made to sell GTV's before the face lift came out..All car makers do this....It is a model that will always command a premium because of its limited status but its no better than a standard V6 GTV.....

By the way please don't think I am slagging the Cup off as I love them.........

Side vents were also sold seperately by Zender. I do not recall seeing them sold new recently, but you should be able to find them on the second hand market.

There were also other types of side vents from other tuners, Ill see if I can find some examples.
