Yes, the parts are stupidly expensive if you go through a Kwik-Fit or similar, I went to a couple of places like that and the quotes varied from £500 - £700 for a centre & rear section.
Even the mechanic in one of the places said he'd never seen such expensive parts!
Online is your best bet, it's the only way you'll get a cheap section.
A ramp for fitting would be a great help, although I got my rear section off the other day with just the drivers side jacked up on an axle stand.
It was a pain to undo the bolts, and had I need to cut I would have been stuffed, there just isn't the room to wield a hacksaw under there.
Now a 'proper' Petrol Head
