GTV V6 smells of petrol sfter cambelt change...

I've had recent cambelt change and noticed today the car stank of petrol on the way to work, then poked my head in engine bay and smells of petrol around the camblet cover area...any ideas if could be related?

No fuel i can see dripping anywhere obvious.

Thats a weird one!!! are the fuel pipes intact? only thing I could think of is when they removed everything to get in there, they may have left something loose?

There are alot of fuel pipes and connectors under the driver's side wing cover, which have to be removed or relocated to do cambelt. Remove cover and check. They are mostly pushfit type joints with plastic piping.
