Will these wheels fit my ph2 spider (2000)?

Hi guys,

Am keen to get some teledial wheels, and seen some, but the dimensions are as follows:
205/55 /16

They are from a 156.

Will they fit straight onto the car, or will i need spacers?

This get asked A LOT in this section.

Yes they will fit straight on, but the different offset means they will be set into the wheel arches and will not look good.
15mm Hubcentric spacers would bring them out nicely.

So check the cost of a set of four spacers first.

I have mine on with 5mm non-hubcentric spacers on the wife's twinspark. Not ideal, but good enough to make them look okay and still have a bit of the centre hub available for the wheel to catch on.

17" teledials waiting to go on as soon as I get the tyres fitted

I with David C. i think the 16" Teles look awful on the GTV without spacers, even with they still look too small for the wheel arches. IMO

3 weeks ago I fitted 16 inch Tele's from a 156 on my GTV. I have not fitted the spacers yet, and to be honest the difference in offset was barely visible (Whilst they were being done I compared them, and to the naked eye there was not a lot in it). (comparing between 156 tele's and phase 2 standard alloys, not with/without spacers)

The tele's without spacers look better than phase 2 alloys did.

When I get round to fitting the 15mm spacers I have, I am sure it will make the car look even better.

Hope that helps!!
