Taking apart the hood motor
Can anyone give a little more insight into this?
I plan to get into the motor and turn the cog which others have identified as the source of the sticking hood issue most people seem to get at some point. there's a guy selling replacement cogs on ebay at £60 a go which I'm hoping I wont need as according to some only 90 degees of the cog is used so if turned 180 there is plenty of life in the existing one.
I take it you need to loosen and remove the cables? The cog is inside the round metal part of the case I assume, is this accesed via the nut on the top?
If anyone knows and could do a "How to" guide that woudl be much appretiated.
