You may have read Moki's GTV woes threads....
Some of you may have read Moki's threads regarding our GTV woes - man this has been a nightmare and not something we expected to have to deal with from fellow AO members who claim to be Alfa Romeo Specialists - a warning to all, make sure you have had good reports about garage repair services from other users before letting ANYONE work on your pride joy!!
Anyway, the point of this post is that I'm hoping someone might have some odds and ends lying around that they can stick in the post for us (will of course pay if needed). The garage in question are now being so petty that they have asked us to supply 2 x 13mm Manifold Bolts and a 5mm Allen (hex) bolt for the power steering reservoir - they said that they have the bolts in the workshop but are unwilling to fit them on our car due to the hassle that we're causing them (of course it's our fault for expecting the job to be done right the first time).
So if any kindly soul has these three bolts lying about their workshop/garage and wouldn't mind sticking them in the post we'd be most grateful, either let me know here or PM myself or Moki
Thanks in advance guys!!
Alfabhoy (Mr Moki to some of you lol)
Ps... for anyone who was following the "we didn't take the camshafts out to skim the head" thread I finally got the garage (and the 3rd party engine services company who they outsourced the work to) to admit that the camshafts had indeed been taken out. A letter from Alfa Romeo confirming that the head on a 2.0TS engine CANNOT be skimmed without removing the camshafts, due to the fact that the valves are open when the cams are left in place, did the trick and forced them to own up that they lied in the first place when they told us that the cams were not taken out!
