Spring Pan, Hub and Control Arm Bolt
I put my poly-bushed refurbished Spring Pans/ control arms back onto the subframe over the bank holiday and getting the long bolt to square up properly was very difficult indeed, it looked impossible at first but I managed it.
Just reading up on other threads and I have discovered that there should possibly be a spacer in between the hub and the control arm bush on the long bolt. Mine definitely didn't have one when I dismantled it. I think this would have made the job a lot easier, as it would have been closer to the angle needed to fit the bolt straight through.
Just looked on eper and the spacer is not listed, but neither is the big washer??????
Can someone help me?
My sequence currently is- from the front, Long bolt head into stub axle, washer polybush washer in spring pan outer, back through stub axle, washer polybush washer in control arm outer, big original washer then the nut.
Also my long bolt would not be long enough to accommodate a 10mm spacer, there is only a couple of mil thread sticking out of the nut when tightened up so I'm really confused!
