MOT failed but happy

Well after sitting in my dads garage since 1st November 2009 and me doing some engine work, the GTV was put forward for a MOT. It expired on 25th April 2010.

1 Advisory
Offside subframe mounting prescribed area corroded

and 6 Fails
Offside front position lamp (knew this was out but knew it would not be the only item so left it)
Nearside front tyre tread below requirements (inside edge)
Rear exhaust has a major leak (but they got it through the emmissions)
Nearside subframe mounting prescribed area excessively corroded
Rear service brake below requirements
Parking brake below requirements

I am not too upset by its showing, the rear brakes always seem to need a bit of work to get them through.
I will sort both subframe mounts
Might be the standard of a stainless exhaust system to fix it
Tyre choice will have to change as I had v pattern eagle F1 all round currently but i dont think they are still available.
Strip and clean the brakes and see how it goes.
Just as well the light nights are here

I seem to recall reading the directional V shaped Eagle F1 tread was discontinued a year (or two!) ago. Pity as that's what I have and I think they're superb.

Had to replace my front offside tyre for MOT and the didn't have the F1s in stock so I got Primewell PZ900 for both fronts. They have a similar thread pattern to the F1s and I find they are quieter with no tram lining and seem to be up to performance.
