I have a PH2 it is controlled by the ECU from the sensor on the thermostat housing i think, which is linked to the gauge, however there are 2 sensors on the rad itself which i'm lead to believe is related to low and high speed fan operation.
However in traffic my TS gets warm, very warm... was speaking to my Milan trained tech the other day who dispelled the myth that the temp gauge indicates anything but common sense, the 2 line marks on the temp gauge between the actual marked temperatures equate to 80 deg C and 100 deg C and it isnt uncommom for some TS's to run upto 100 Deg C in traffic on hot days possibly a little more.
And here's me worrying about a meltdown....
Now normal working Temp is about 85 - 88 Deg's C, thermostat maintains that on the move no probs, but i'm in queue avoidance mode at the moment...perhaps when the A/C is recharged that will help with the heat transfer abilities of the cooling system...
