I had prejudices about the Alfa quality before I got my GTV. I'm happy to say that my experience so far is that the quality is surprisingly good. Well, not worse than any other 13 year old car anyway. I also have some experience with BMW and I spend more time on repairs on them then on the Alfa (of course I just use the GTV during summer but anyway...). As all cars, the GTV also needs new bushings, wishbones, suspension etc., but in my opinion, nothing over the ordinary. The cam belt change is very important and can be quite expensive (especially in Sweden and if is a V6). Just spend some time on this forum and read the buyers guide and I'm sure you'll be fine.
