Today has not been a good one.
An old friend of mine was down from Glasgow for the weekend, and had a spare day today, so I thought I'd take her into Brighton. After a great day out, top weather, we went to leave the car park. She put the ticket in the machine and put in the money, and forgot to take the ticket. We got to the barrier and no ticket! She went to go talk to the customer assistant and slammed the door so unneccesarily hard that the tweeter cap on the door snapped off, dropping the tweeter down into the door card. That annoyed me ALOT, although I had to remind myself I'm just in love with the car, and it will be cheap to fix.
As we set off to go home, I'd not driven 2 miles before the engine suddenly cut out about 5000rpm in 3rd gear. I pulled over to the side of the road, and tried to start. Each time the engine would fire up, and then would immediately cut out. I assumed maybe I had run out of petrol, as the petrol light was on, but was convinced it wasn't THAT low. So i called out the breakdown chaps who filled me up with a tenners worth. Still no joy.
Just had to fork out £125 to get me and the car dropped home.
The recovery chap seemed to suggest it was an immobiliser problem, but the Key Code light hasn't come on, so I didn't know if that was any lead at all.
So I'm a bit upset, a bit ****ed off, and in a bad mood.
Does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be.
The engine starts, but cuts out immediately
Thanks for listening!
