Okay I feel a bit better now, just called them and told them I'm bringing the car back today, they will fit the seal and not charge for parts or labour.
My ranting is because of the following:
8 months ago the car went in to have the right hand side drive shaft serviced at the same place after noticing the inner boot is torn. No hassles there, job done well (or so I thought). No oil leaks, both boots replaced, I'm happy.
Last week I notice the right front wheel covered in grease and immidiately took the car back. They claim 6 months warranty on parts and labour. Not in the mood for arguing, i pay the bill. I collect the car on friday after work and park it.
Sunday i decide to go for a nice Sunday cruise and as I close the gate, notice this HUGE!!!!!!! puddle of gear oil decorating my driveway. More than a liter drained out. I immidiately suspect that the oil seal on the differential casing was either not replaced, or was damaged when the driveshaft was replaced.
I feel that when you take your car in for repairs, it should come back fixed! Surely this is not an unreasonable expectation?
