New 6 speed GTV gear knob wanted

Can anyone recommend where I can pick up a gear knob suitable for a 6 speed to go
on a GTV V6 engine (2002 model)

Open to either a simple replacement - anyone breaking up a suitable car or have a spare one - or is it top dollar at a dealer (if available)

As an alternate perhaps a cool looking replacement option.
Any suggestions and where to look ?

How hard are they to fit on.
Are they a twist off or a pull off (with preasure ) ?

Thanks
Alan

I quite like the "black" series that alfisti sell : Alfa Romeo Shop - Tuning, Styling, Fanartikel und Modellautos - Alfa Romeo Spider und Alfa Romeo GTV 916 Tuning
You need to make sure they are compatible with the lift up reverse lock, which all of those should do,, they`ll handily work on either 5 or 6 speed by virtue of their lack of numbers

There's a ghastly MOMO chrome gear knob in mine. It's on the list of things to change Why do people insist on replacing subtle and attractive parts with garish chav-tastic ones?

It should be illegal to degrade an Alfa with Ripspeed-esque ****tery

So true, RadicalMachine, so true. On a GTV, if you can see it, keep it OE...or buy a Mitsubishi.

The missus's gtv came with chrome (yes chrome) 18" alloys, a Ripspeed fandango CD player with many different flashing lights (but it had Bluetooth and an iPid connector so it must be good) and a big chunky chrome gear knob with a cheapo plastic Alfa badge. Only the gear knob remains - but that is going soon!

He's having a go at Evo owners! Even though a 7 onwards with a carbon spoiler, bonnet and vortex generator looks . Anyway, usually I agree with keeping it original but the standard gear knob is horrific in the GTV! I replaced my old one with a Momo race air as they were half price at Halfrauds. Personally, I think it looks twice as nice as the original knob!

Each to his own knob, I guess - enjoy. The evo thing is an age issue - mine.

Well looked around at the replacement options and decided to stick to original equipment.
Ordered a 6 speed leather GTV gear knob from Alfa
Needed to buy a 1 58 spring as it was not rising high enough but after that it went on a treat.
A good few hard bangs and the Cup looks as it should.
The tatty old Momo is in the bin.
Now what next.

but ouch at the cost. Need to get around to replacing the one in my twinny. It's not too bad, have recoloured the leather, but without the markings (now faded) it just isn't right.
I got a brand new one for my GT when I bought it (previous owner obviously had wedding ring) as it was scratched.
It's a personal choice, but I just prefer the OE look with most things. (spent 2 years looking for the correct one for a classic mini...I'm sad like that )

GTV Phase 2 V6

Bringing up an old post here, would the following fit our GTV V6s with a 6 speed box?

Can't help on compatibility of the above link but here's a link to the correct part

https://www.partsworld-uk.com/collec...gtv-spider-166

And a mere 185!!!

Joking apart can you compare and contrast the images to see ? The 156 variant may not have the recess for the lift up reverse.

Thumbs Up

These are exactly the same part, possibly different part number. I fitted one to one of my GTV's last week without any problems.
Delivered from Poland without problems.
Only 50 delivered

Cheers Andy, that's a great help, I will follow suit sir. I quite like some after market ones but want to stay OEM... Only the headlining retrim to go now.
