well it's finally gone!! I took a deposit on it back in Dec but due to circumstances the new owner has only just been able to get the rest of the cash sorted!
Some of you may think that's a long time to hold on to a car for somebody but i wasn't in a rus to sell it anyways so have still had the pleasure of driving it a couple of times per week to keep things ticking over!!
Do i miss it??? yes & no!! i've had a few months to get my head around it actually going so i wasn't that bothered today when i met the new owner part way to exchange car & cash!!
I did love driving the car, the V6 is a cracking engine & it's never let me down in the just over a year i've had it. I knew i'd be a bit more gutted if i drove it today to meet the new owner especially as meeting place was about 100 miles away. So i let my mate drive it down & i just drove my new car. a 2004 Vectra 3.0 V6 CDTi SRi which isn't actually that bad for a Vectra, or an oil burner for that matter!1
Anyways, it's gone now & for the 1st time ever in 20yrs of car ownership i've now only got a diesel car!!
Now sure how long itll stay like that though!!
i'm getting made redundant next month & i get a nice payout. I may have a job waiting for me once the redundancy is sorted out, it's a hell of a lot closer to home so woll probably start going to work on the mountain bike again so need to keep the diesel as 'd only need a car for on an eve & weekends!!
So i have already had a quick look on the autotrader to see what price Evo's are going for these days!!
Although we still want to move house, which is the main reason why i sold the GTV, to get the cash out of it to put towards moving fees. I will be on a lower wage so my Mrs will prob want to use all my redundancy to get the mortgage down so she may go nuts if i buy a weekend toy straight away!!
Well i hope my old GTV's new owner loves driving it as much as i did as he already has a 2.0TS & is a member on here!
i'm my eyes it's a hell of a lot of car for the money considering i've seen GTV's a few years older & double the mileage advertised for a higher price!!
