GTV Cup - Rattle from rear

I have a really irritating rattling or knocking noise, rear nearside. A specialist Alfa mechanic in Bristol can't find the source. He said to come back if its gets a lot worse but I am really sensitive to noise. It sounds like say the spoiler rattling, but it's tight, the exhaust hitting the bumper but that seems fairly rigid too. I wondered if anyone had any other ideas. It is worse over rough roads which let's face it is most of them now in the UK. I was wondering if anyone had a similar problem or any ideas.

Loose battery or cabling or maybe a loose heatshield.

I had a vibration coming from the rear of my car when I bought it and thought it was the exhaust. It wasn't. I'll tell you what it might be AGIUGA......check the flap above the battery in the boot. My car has a metal flap which was banging against the top of the battery!!! Now the noise has completely gone Let me know if it's that!

I had/ have the same problem and, after some investigation, it turned out to be the very last exhaust mount was loose. It's bolted into a captive nut that you can't get to and mine has come loose (it won't tighten, just spins) so every time I go over a bump the mount hits the bottom of the car. A quick weld should sort that.
As a side effect, this bolt also holds the heat shield in place and that was hitting the car aswell! Just bending the shield away from the car got rid of that.
Finally, similar to the post above. Open the boot and look up, directly beneath the speakers and there's a cardboard/ furry sound deadening thingy. Mine was loose and banged about over bumps. Jamming something in between it and the metal lip will hold it in place. Bloody Alfa!
Hope this is of some help? I know they sound petty, but an annoying rattle or clonk can ruin the driving experience for me!

Could be the spoiler even if it's tight. Mine has developed a gentle vibrating noise...
