Anyone replaced a subframe?
Am removing mine soon. I have removed two sections of exhaust, spring pans, springs, shock absorbers/arms plus all of the heat shields.
I need to disconnect the handbrake cables - loosen the handbrake nut as much as possible and pull the cables out of their respective holders?
Disconnect the ABS sensors - I can't remove these, it's as if they are welded into place and they look very fragile so assume there will be a connection inside the car that I can feed through is it somewhere in the roof hydraulics/mechanism compartment, can anyone confirm?
There is a brake pipe union just in front of the subframe (usually hidden by a heat shield) which if I disconnect here means I can remove the rest of the pipes still attached to the frame - I don't want to lose much or any fluid as I have been advised that if I get air into the ABS unit it will probably have to go to the main dealers to sort out again, I haven't played with brake pipes before so not sure about fittings, how could I block these off and avoid issues when I disconnect?
Anyone already done this must have some pointers??
