As per the title really, but a bit of background info:
Last April the whole drivers door was replaced as I carelessly bent the original off when I reversed out of my garage
New door was put on at Autolusso and they did a very good job considering the time-frame; I was on holiday at the time and needed it doing ASAP!
The door is aligned OK, looks good and opens/closes no problem. My original lock barrels were transferred to this new door.
When opening the doors from the RCL they open and then bounce closed again - im ready for this and open the door before they bounce!
When you close the door the action of it closing 'bounces' the locks shut. This also happens if you leave the keys in the ignition and close the door behind you - as several valet parkers found out recently, even after being told about the issue!!
Perhaps 1 time in 20 closing the door doesnt cause it to lock (yay!) but then driving it over a pot hole or some such will bounce it shut - doh!
I have been living with this for a year, but its really time to get it sorted. I have had the door cards off too many times to remember, so I know my way around the innards, its just a case of what needs doing - bowden cables?? are they adjustable?
Looking for any hints/pointers and what exactly needs to be adjusted.
