Well the time has now come to break the V6. Got the 500 Abarth yesterday and it's an awesome little car!!
The V6 is in very good condition, with no problems at all. Runs great, and bodywork / paint good.
I expect a few will frown on me for breaking it, but it's a 1998 P2. 106k on original clutch and cambelt needs doing. The prices are awful at the moment so the cost of a cambelt and a clutch in the not too distant future won't help, so i'm not giving it away! Plus the synchro on 4th is on it's way out so tends to crunch sometimes on quick changes, wishbones need doing, one front pipe is blowing. Weighing that up it makes more sense to break it.
So here it is:
Before you read on, the following have been sold: Wheels, both fogs, radiator, aerial, toolkit, handbooks.
The car does NOT have the aerokit.
Body panels in good condition. Doors good with only a couple of very small little dings, very straight. No laquer peel anywhere.
3.0 V6 engine. 105k with service book, old mot's etc. Runs spot on. Very quiet engine and doesn't use any oil. Any inspection welcome.
Full set of key plus one! Two red ones (new badges) brown master and a red remote key - last owner had the remote key made up thinking it would work with the meta alarm! It's coded, but doesn't work the alarm obviously.
Gearbox (5 speed) - crunches on 4th on quick changes. No other noises / problems.
Blue leather interior with matching carpet - good condition.
Other than the usual stuff, it has the following... The bits everyone wants that cost ££££'s new...PM me with offers this week before they go on ebay next week...
Koni's (V6 only) - Fronts reburbished by koni specialist 6 months ago at a cost of £200. (Receipt included) All new seals, blasted & repainted. So basically new. Rears are in good condition. (Fronts were weeping around top seals)
Eibach springs - only to be sold with the above - front struts will be sold as complete assembled units with top mounts etc, ready to fit. Fronts are still red, most of the paint has come off the rears. Only cosmetic stuff.
Autodelta quad DTM exhaust (rear section only) has one small silencer - fits onto standard centre section.
