I am in a situation where I can swap my 1999 Subaru Forester for a 2001 2.0 Spider.
That part is brilliant.
The problem is the spider is in 1 million pieces with some bits obviously missing since that is the way things work.
What I am considering is to get the Spider, with my wife probably killing me not that she likes the Forester she actually hates it but it is a running car.
Having it re sprayed my traditional yellow like my 3.2 GTV.
Now this is the sad part where I need some input from levelheaded people.
My GTV was in a bit of an accident in 2001 and I havenít been happy with the repair of the front legs from day one for various reasons.
I am considering building the GTVís mechanicals suspension included over into the Spider.
Please keep in mind that we have done this thing before and apart from it being a job and a halve it is still a straight forward strip and assemble job so that part is easy.
The thing is my GTVís not worth much and by doing this I retain my new motor and upgraded suspension for the Spider.
Afterwards I will change the GTV into a 2.0 maybe Turbo and sell it to recover some of the costs.
