For Sale: GTV 3.0V6 PH2 2000

Alfa Romeo GTV 3.0 V6, 2000 V plate, 87000miles

Tax Dec 11, MOT July 11.

Lots of service history during my ownership and from previous owners. Iíve owned it for 3 Ĺ years and only covered 9kmiles. Had lots done in that time, seems nearly every other journey is to Alfa garage. Itís been serviced by one of the local Alfa Specialists that is regularly recommended on this forum.
Car is mechanically very sound, Iíve spent a fair bit of time and numerous visits to the garage to correct any suspension woes. The interior is also very good condition, with black leather seats.

Considering the bad bits, see below, i'd prefer a quick sale so prepared to accept around £1350.
Hopefully this will let anyone who isn't put off by getting the respray done, the chance to add a bit of value. i think a respray would increase the value.

In the 3 Ĺ years Iíve owned it I have had the following sorted.

Feb 11
Rear brake callipers and rear brake hoses

Nov 10
Track Rod Ends, both ends

Jun 10
Reconditioned Steering Rack
Handbrake cable
Front Exhaust (Flexi)
Rear Pan Bushes
Lambda Sensor

Jun 09
Front Suspension Arms
Drop Links
Front Tyre

Dec 08
Gear Cable Replaced

Nov 08
Timing Belt

Aug 08
Rear Discs and pads

Jul 08
Rear Tyres x2

May 08

Centre Exhaust

April 08
Replace Rear Brake Pipes and fluid

Other work done in this time too, like oil and filter changes regularly, but tend to do that myself. Its also had the MAF replaced with a genuine replacement.

It does have a few bad bits though, and I want to be as honest as possible here.
The paint work is bad, a lot of lacquer peeling on the roof and the bootlid and around the door handles and petrol lid. I have looked into a respray, the those Iíve talked to recommended stripping first as some of the lacquer is very loose.
The AC has no cold air. I had this looked at and requires new pipes, which acc to Alfa mechanic are no longer available, so means sourcing from a breaker.
The bonnet, again paint work aint too good, there is a split in the fibreglass around the badge between the grill and the edge. The split could be repaired, but there are visible stress cracks on the underside of the bonnet.
The paint on the plastics, mirrors, front bumper and skirts look to a different shade than the body.
Timing Belt due end of 2011

please, comments welcome, i've tried to price it fairly, and would consider offers, but no taking the ******

That's too cheap, even if it needs a respray> I thinks it seems a pretty nice car.

Hi Rendo.

As long as the engine and gearbox run ok with no nasty noises then I can prob make you an offer.
Just need to double check with the Mrs in the morning....
