Help... running out of ideas.
Changed the clutch the other day ( single mass and GTA clutch is awesome btw).
What a pig of a job, 2 days of hell!!!. Literally everything on the gearbox side gets taken out or disconnected. Wires everywhere, everything on the floor etc.
Now the car runs like a dog below 3K ish. Similar feel to petrol starvation, that hesitation, juddery feeling on trailing and light throttle. Put your foot down and no problems off she howls.
Other things I have noticed. Engine temp is normal but the exhaust is ticking after use, which wasn't noticeable before so must be running hotter exhaust side.
Engine and exhaust seem to be louder.
What have I tried?
Intake pipes have come off to look for cracks-- seem ok
Disconnected maf ---- runs the same ish with or without
No fault codes ----- FiatECUSCAN
One of the lambdas had some coolant water splashed on it whilst on the floor--- no fault codes though.
Cleaned and re-oiled ( sparingly) the BMC air filter---- May have killed the MAF- but no fault codes.
Engine fan cuts in now and again even when not up to temperature. --- maybe it did that before, never sat there at idle before looking for problems.
I have two yellow connectors, that I cant work out where they go back. Or maybe they were always loose? optional extras? look at my previous thread for a picture... http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...wires-for.html
Apart from buying a MAF I may not need , what are my next steps??? does this sound like a MAF issue? didn't have a problem before, admitidly I have serviced the BMC filter, but that would seem a cruel twist of fate to kill the MAF after the money I have spent on the car in the last few weeks. Why no fault codes???
