I stripped the top end of mine a few weeks back to have loads of bits and bobs powder coated. I'm now at the re-assembling stage and I'll be putting the cam covers back on tomorrow morning.
The cam cover gaskets need a little sealant on the cambelt end around the curves that go around the cam bearings. Apart from that they should be ok by themselves. Mind you - I only like to do a job once and I'll be putting a little sealant all the way around the gasket just in case. Its easy enough to clean off if I have to do the job again for a cambelt change etc.
I had to buy all new bolts for mine. The heads had corroded so much I only just got them out without them breaking up and rounding off. The only place I could get new ones was Alfa themselves. They are 7mm bolts and an oddball length (37mm?). Very hard to get hold of.
I'll look up the torque for you in a moment and post on here later.
