wiper arm posistion

sorry about another wiper issue!

i had the same problem as everyone else regarding intermittant wipers issues (juddering etc)!

i took the whole thing apart but thats when i had a few problems, and have two questions-

1 how do you take the black (ecu?) box off to get to the gears? do you have to remove the soldered joints?

2 Once i put it all back i forgot what posistion the arm which connects the motor to the mechanism was? so that when i put them back they went down a little first then swept but not up to the top, so assume i have got it starting in the wrong place!

Yes to get to the gears you need to un-solder the joints.
Usually grease on the electrical contacts that causes the problem.
As for start position I also forgot on mine when I did it - ended up just as trial end error

I don't remember unsoldering anything when I did the motor on my 145 (not sure if its the same though), I think it was a click off or screw off cover. For start position, I powered mine up to let it self park before attaching the linkage.
