My cooler pipes went a few years ago (almost to the day), and I was shocked at how much it would cost to get sorted.
A lot of garages bluntly refused the job, because it's such a pain in the **** to fix.
You can expect quotes of £300-£450 (this was from 2008), expensive because it includes the cooler. Apparently, the pipes are steel and the oil cooler itself is aluminium, so when the pipes corrode they fuse to the aluminium cooler threads.
The guy I got to do it in the end used to be a rally Mechanic and had a knack at getting them off without ruining the threads on the cooler, so all I had to pay for was the pipes and labour which came to £150.
