I'd say don't worry. There's no point being stressed- it's fine or it isn't. I've had it before that the clutch got wet and rusted closed overnight. Same symptoms as you really. Starting the engine in gear with the clutch pedal down broke the bond and it was fine then, but it did happen a few more times when the clutch got wet, but there was no long term damage or ill effects for me.
Mind you, this was on 80's GTV, so the clutch is very different, but it might not be a massive problem. Good luck and tell us if it happens again.
