Help Horn sounds when it wants!

Anybody got any ideas what could cause the horn on my GTV to sound without me causing it?
Coming home this afternoon, turned a left hand bend and for no apparent reason the horn sounded for 5 or 6 seconds! This didn't please the chap in the car in front of me! As I was slowing down to pull over and rip the connectors of the battery, the noise stopped. Carried on going for about 1/2 mile then horn sounded once more, as I was again turning left, any thoughts please?
Is it possible that turning left was coincidental?

A problem on the Steering Wheel or wires chafing and shorting as they go through a Bulkhead are both possible causes. I think there is no short cut to finding this snag, you'll just have to start at one end and check the wires all the way to the other end, could be a slow job.

As it seems to happen when you turn the Steering Wheel I'd guess the problem is likely to be at this end of things.
