i know loads use him on here, it was on recommendation that I used him in the first place.
if he was that good he would have taken it on board how ****ed i was to find so many loose bolts the first time round and made SURE it was right on the second.
it went back because the tensioner sounded like it was bouncing and a whining noise coming from the belt area, it is still whining and the tensioner is making noise again, it should have been changed out!(sounds almost like its coming from the top of the engine but have been told its the tensioner)
so all in..
1: whining noise from pulley.
2: rattle from tensioner.
3: 2 x shims on dogbone not replaced leading to the polyflex halves falling out on the way home so engine slamming back under acceleration and making a god awful noise.
4: cambelt cover allen bolt top left of the cover hanging out, not even tightened.
1: still whining
2: started rattling from tensioner AGAIN.
3: inlet manifold not done up or installed properly and half crossthreaded.
4: ALL and i mean ALL of the jubilee clips on the air filter hoses not done up(they were rattling loose)
5: cracked left hand engine cover!
I paid £550 for the privilege of all of that! i couldnt care how cold it is out there or how pushed for time he was....i should have got the car back and been impressed, not driving home thinking "it never whined like that before".
at 1.5-2k revs it ticks from the tensioner, and when you go over 2-3k it whines like I have a supercharger...surely that is wrong.
