MAF question

I know that there are various MAF's for different models of cars but i was just wondering is there any way other than going to Alfa Romeo to make sure that you have the absolutely correct MAF fitted, I have had ph1 and ph2 cars in he past and know that some have a 4 pin connection and some have a 5 pin connection. But are their variants with both types of connection. I only ask as this car i think has a MAF problem & i wondered before i order a replacement using the current code from the MAF fitted at the moment if it was not the correct one fitted or if it was a cheapo version fitted and i don't want to fit the same type again.

I've never seen a MAF with two different types of connection on it. The early CF1 ones had a separate air temperature sensor, which is why it's got one less pin on the main connector...

i have a bosch service centre near where i live that i normally use to get mafs from

but if you use Alfa Romeo GTV Airflow Meters that might help to make sure you have the correct one fitted at the moment,

and The Alfa Workshop, independent specialist Alfa Romeo garage and web resource are well priced to order from
