V6 MAF (Vauxhall)

I have just seen this posted on the Pistonheads Alfa section;

Is it true ??????????????????????

I believe the MAF sensor on your car is the same as fitted to the 3 litre V6. if it is you can buy
the same sensor from Vauxhall (for a 1.9TDi), whilst the MAF pipe is the same its simply a case of unscrewing the sensor, withdrawing it and fitting to your existing MAF pipe.

I did this recently on my GTV V6 for a total cost of £65

You still need to check the bosch part number is the same for the sensor.
Yes they do share parts, I fitted one from a DTi vectra. (part ending 044)
The sensor is the same but the pipework is different. Easy to swap though.
If you get stuck with the security torq screws, pliers move them easily from the plastic body.

Actually got it from a breakers to try out.... cost a fiver in a handfull of bits.

Yes its true. Save yourself a wad. My GTV and ex 166 both running around on the Vauhhall part. Same sensor - different (and therefore VERY expensive tube....)

Depends if your V6 is a CF2 or CF3. If you take out your MAF sensor element and Google the part number it will come up as fitting many different cars.
