Early 944s don't have PAS do they?

Once they're moving you don't need it and it's less to go wrong.

Shame just about all of the British UK ones have those sunroofs.

Were the Europeans so keen on sunroofs on the 924s and 944s?

It's shame straight fours don't sound better. At least five cylinder Audis and Volvos sound interesting. Is a nice sounding engine a nice to have, or a must have?
Your right, no PAS, no sunroof, mines an 83, unfortunately your right about the sound as well!.

This has been a good post i have enjoyed reading everyones rants but what a lot of people have forgotten is that their own cars will at some point in their life have had the balls thrashed off them and no-one will ever know if it was red lined from cold! Enjoy your 944 and make sure the belts and tensioner have been changed they are pretty much bullet proof other than that, although the front wishbones can be a bit expensive.

Have fun with the 944 if you need any parts give me a shout wishbones cheap as chips same as mk1 golf they did not change until 86 to the expensive alloy type when the car had a facelift to oval dash prior to that was pretty much same as 924 except for the engine front wings and suspension so most parts for it are reasonable and certainly cheaper and more bombproof than the Alfa if your giving it stick
