New Exhaust (Euro3 ?!?!?!?!)

So last weekend in the freezing cold I was under my GTV trying to work out which section of my exhaust needs replacing. I replaced the end tail pipe section earlier in the year so knew it would be either the front and/or middle section.

Turns out it's the front section that needs replacing but this is where I'm now stuck. After checking pictures on the usual UK based internet sites (ebspares/alfaworkshop) it turns out my exhaust is rather different to the standard kit.

Sent some pictures to Ebspares who said it looks like it's a Euro3 type exhaust system and too expensive for them to stock

Does anyone know about these exhausts systems? And where I might get a replacement?

Failing that, does anyone know if it's possible for me to replace the existing exhaust with a standard 2.0 GTV exhaust?

Have uploaded a few photo's of the exhaust section in need of some TLC...

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Looks like the central section including cat to me. I feel your pain, i needed the front section on mine and could not find one for love nor money

However, if that is your cat section (i suspect it is judging by your pics) then you are in some luck. Have a look here for an example Sport cat – 2.0 Twin Spark CF3 | Classic Alfa Romeo spare parts and accessories not cheap but should outlast a standard one by years. if you go direct to Alfa you will probably pay more than that too.

i believe it is possible to change the exhaust system for an earlier GTV one but you will need the whole system from manifold to back box and then get someone to plumb in the lambda sensors, also bear in mind that you will lose 2 of the 3 cats your car currently has. less restrictive but watch it for emissions come MOT time

i probably missed something here but im sure someone will help out in time
