Disconnecting aerial..Can it be left dangling ?
Apologies for what is probably a daft question. I have been suffering flat batteries on my GTV and have been trying to work out the cause. The Yuasa battery my local garage fitted has now been replaced twice under warranty and now the replacement is noticeably slow to fire up when I get in.
Taken the radio out to see if that helped when the latest new battery went in but it seems that hasn't solved the drain. I was WAD earlier for some other work and they had a quick look and couldn't see anything obvious. They guy suggested that as the radio was out I try disconnecting the aerial as it has a permanent live and the stereo isn't in at the moment anyway. I have dived in the boot and pulled the plug however as it is permanent live is it okay to leave it dangling where it is ? Could it catch on the bodywork as it bounces around and cause other problems ?
Not too up on auto electrics so thought I might as well ask here :-)
