TS Cold Start Settings
Hi, I've just changed the thermostat on my TS but the engine is still slow to warm up, especially in this colder weather. When commuting, I drive a mile to a dual carriageway, 20 miles down it and another slowish mile to work. Reverse pattern for the return journey.
Thing is- it takes about 4 miles for the exhaust to clear. By that time the temp gauge is reading about 65. I don't exceed 3000rpm until the needle is off its stop but it does feel a bit embarrassing tooling along at 65mph "with the choke out". Normal running temp is about 80 although I know the gauges are inaccurate.
So- when should the mixture settings revert to normal from cold start?
And- does the fact there is no engine undertray affect the speed of warm-up?
