Argh Central Locking actuators frozen!

Bloody winter!!!

GTV's been parked on the drive for 2 weeks as it's due tax, battery, MOT, new tyres, the usual rubbish!
Thought i would wait till pay day as i've got a good bonus coming, I knew the battery was on its way out as it would only hold a charge for 5 days so i plugged it in tonight, gave it a good charge and went to get in the car, central locking has locked up!!!
Anybody have this problem? Knowing the GTV i'm guessing it's common? luckily opened it via the key but almost bent the thing, good job i have 4 spare!!!
I gave up as it's -6 in the garden at the mo and the ice won't budge quick enough!!!

Is it worth me taking the door cards off and adding some silicone lube to the gubbins?
Just want to prevent it incase we have a very very cold night and i need the car!

Thank god i use a Nissan Micra to commute!!!!

You've just been done by a Twinny!

defo worth the silicone spray...I pumped loads into my locks and between the doors and have not had an issue yet.

Went out to the frozen car this morning and it opened straight away.

Normal with my little ball of fun too - locks playing games today. Silicone spray must be way to go. Starts on the button though once you've prised your way in!
