Silver is one of the worst colours to work with aswell, solid colours are easy to mix but when you start using metallics, in comes the micron size of the specks, it's quite a science!!
That sort of work isn't too bad, the GTV is quite easy to Prep as most of it just unscrews and comes off!
I would ideally do the complete side feathered out along each end, ideally feather it downwards into the curve so you won't get a sight like you have at the moment, Good painters work with the curves,
The most expensive part will be the prepping, it's the part i hate!!! if you see a good painter, he shouldn't charge more than £500 to get the complete side done, Unless he tries to baffle you with ''Water'' based paints, yes they're expensive but not more different than using 2 pack.
Don't go to a place where they have a lot of vans being repaired, good give away for cheap knock outs as they just lay up a coat of white over the problem underneath,
Try and find a good little garage somewhere, family run business with some decent looking cars outside,
Even better would be a classic car sprayer, they pay more attention to fine lines, colours etc, you won't catch them faffing about with colour charts!
