Wonder if you could give me an idea of what my car is worth. Toying with the idea of selling it to put it towards a deposit for a newer Alfa since I've started working again - possibly a newer V6.
Anyways brief spec:
S reg late 1998 (Phase 2) 2.0 Twinnie in Lusso spec
Vela Blue metallic
Tan leather interior
Taxed till end April 11
MOT'd till June 11
Reconditioned engine at 102,000
All belts changed at that time
New brake pipes all round
New pads and discs
Several new suspension parts
Bluetooth stereo with music streaming and voice calling (aerial works with it)
New crank sensor
New radiator and stat
I think it also had a new clutch
Mechanically sound, starts first time with no problems
Usual little blemishes of the paintwork for a car this age - nothing major though.
Flaking of paint around the aerial.
Will need 2 new tyres soon (still legal, just)
Drivers bolster a bit worn (no rips though and certainly nowhere near as bad as some I've seen!)
Loose plastic panel under nearside front wheel arch bumps around a bit when driving. (I removed it, but could be tied down with a cable tie I guess).
Airbag light on. Connector under seat came loose, but is back on. Just needs reset with ECUscan.
Bought the car from iain on these boards so the good points above are not exhaustive. He gave the car a really comprehensive overhaul, so there's probably things on there that I've missed.
The car is in good condition (but not perfect), however mechanically it's A1 and that's why I bought it, as well as it being from someone known and trusted on the forum.
As I said, I'm back working now, so I'm considering upgrading to a newer 3.0 V6 or possibly even going back to a 147/156 so I'm just looking for ideas as to how much you think I might be able to get for it? Trying to gauge if it'd be worth selling or not.
I paid £1800 for it in June, but the way the market is at the moment, there's no point selling it if I'm gonna lose loads on it.
Thanks for your help guys.
