hi everyone, i'm looking for an Alfa GTV V6(v6 tb, because there are few 3.0 here in Portugal) to buy and i found this 1998 ph2 on an oficial Alfa Romeo Dealer. But there are some strange things with this car. please take a close look at the image and help me solve this puzzle:
outside it looks like a ph2 car(chrome around the badge right?)..
inside it also looks like a ph2, armrest, round air vents, etc but take atention..
the buttons aside left and right of the dials are from ph1(has the same buttons for fog lights there and near the A/C controls)
the A/C controls are from ph1 and the buttons to turn AC on and recycle are on the left of the steering wheel(strange uh?)
the gear shift also looks from a ph1
the footrest(can't be sure here) doesn't seem correct
all the rest seem ok:
right ph2 seats and door cards, armrest, etc..
Also, the license plate it's right for a 1998 car what proves that it's not an imported model.
What do you thing of this?
my theory it's a ph1 model (maybe 1997) but only legalized in 1998 and it has the ph2 dashboard and console retrofit... like i have read, it's a very hard thing to do and maybe that explains the AC buttons on the left of steering wheel, ph1 AC knobs, repeted buttons(fog lights), etc..
despited that i may take a look at the car soon, since it appears to be in great condition... has the cup kit(not skirts or bumper but the vents on the side), GTA Brakes and looks very good... also because it's in the oficial dealer and it has 1year warranty...
