I think it rather appropriate that my test drive with my new Q2 diff should be on freshly gritted roads. The difference it has made in getting the power down, particularly on a piece of road that has an incline and a bend immediately after traffic lights that I find myself in 2nd gear and always without grip. Not this time, it just powered up it and for the first time I had to slow down for the brow of the hill before a sharp left shortly after.
The car has developed a new exhaust rattle, and the garage has managed to mess up the 5th/6th guide as I can now find reverse without wanting to. Nothing I can't deal with but I think it needs an hour at Autolusso to get these things just right.
The smell it had when raced since I bought it is now gone, concluding that it was probably the gearbox oil leak it had. Hoped this might happen.
Lastly, the GTA flywheel has made a lot of difference to how the engine feels. I didn't think I would notice it as much as I did.
Very happy overall!
