I fully sympathise,
I have owned my Spider for one year now and the dealership has proved itself inept at best! The list of hassels and moans are too long to list, but the most recent is the subject of my cooling fan not operating unless the air con is on. I tested the relays and got a friend to plug in a diagnostics tester to see what was going on. We could not find a fault so (seeing as the car was due in for its 36,000 service and have a replacement seat cover fitted) I asked the dealer to investigate and report back and gave a list of the tests I had done. I expected the car back the following day, but when I called at lunch time I was informed that no technicians had come in and the car would not be done till the following day. I asked about the seat cover (the first replacement cover fitted was the wrong colour) and was told it was not in (having waited 4 months already).
The following day the car was still not finished, and no seat cover (though it was due in for the service).
Finally, on day three I picked the car up. Seat cover not done, and no fix for the fan. They tried to charge me for the test I had carried out and told me they really were not sure but it could be the ECU and I should replace it!!!
Two weeks on, and I am still trying to get the car sorted!
