GTV 3.0

GTV newbie

I'm in the market for a GTV 3.0 and have test driven one that seems to release petrol fumes when accelerating hard. Would I be right to assume this is due to injection related problem and if so is it costly to fix? Any/all advice gratefully received. Car is W reg, 60k miles 3.0 24 valve

Rubber pipes to the injectors can perish & leak - should be easily replaced. Mind you, it wouldn't just happen when accelerating hard & perhaps will have cremated itself by now! Something to do with the tank breather or a leak at the tank end (behind the rear seat) more likely if no evidence of petrol under the bonnet.
