Gear Rod removal
Boy, do I need some help here!
In the process of removing gearbox for clutch change on my GTV 2.0 phase 1. Things were going swimmingly until I tried to remove the gear linkage rod, the smaller one, from the gearbox. Bought some ****ty Laser tool which is too small to grip under the rod so put a washer under it to grip. No luck. The top locking bolt just slides off the gear rod top. I think it uses the cup and pull method.
Tried a fork tool, no luck with that either. I think I have just succeeded to bend the rod itself. Is this as bad as I think it is?
I noticed 2 nuts between the balljoint itself. Is it safe to extract the ball itself by removing the nuts?
Would appreciate some advice guys...
