Find some open road, get the vehicle in 4th gear cruising around 40 mph and then floor the throttle ! as the speed builds up, so will the 'maximum torque' that the V6 delivers....keep your ears open and eyes on the rev' counter..........if the engine note and rev's rise, without any noticeable increase in road speed, then your clutch is on the way out!
You need to get that awesome torque the V6 has, driving that flywheel against the clutch friction plate!.......your developing no where near enough torque by dropping the clutch while in 5th gear ! (if the clutch is completely knackered, then yes, maybe!..but if this was the case you wouldn't be making much progress in any gear!)
