Cambelt - time over distance....
I'm toying with the idea of replacing the cambelt on my phase 2 T-spark Spider. The car has done 9,000 miles since the last change but 5 years have passed. I know it is now suggested that it should be replaced every 3 years in terms of time, but I am looking for opinions on this. With such a low milage on the belt - should I do it? Yes, rubber does break down over time, and this is no exact science.... another year maybe?.... Any experiences? I'd rather spend the money elsewhere.
