Thanks EauRouge but I have spoken to Clive and others and they are not taking on 3.0 cars, only 3.2s or have enough stock at the moment due to time of year.
That says it all, the markets stagnant.
Hang on to it, enjoy it and try again next year.
It has just taken me a year to sell a lovely Ferrari Mondial 3.4T for full money & 9 months to sell a low mileage 2006 Audi TT 3.2 DSG Roadster at a hugely discounted price. (Since then I've had 3 people interested at more money!).
These type of cars take time to sell, they are for a specialist market not a neccessity, dealers offer part exchange-normally having to give over the odds, discounts can be given but not in px deals, V6 Spiders are rarer than the V6 GTV so like-for-like should be worth more?
No one 'needs' a GTV or Spider but a lot of people need more sensible/boring/practicle cars.
When you buy one of our cars this should be realised as when it's time to sell it is to a very limited number of people.
I've currently got 20! Why? Because I like them but I have to hold my breath & wait for the sales to come, normally to people who have looked at quite a few other 'examples'.
You either sell for whatever is offered now or enjoy it while hanging on for another 'enthusiast' to buy it. Do keep it advertised though as there isn't really a season, even for convertibles.
Me, I'll hang on & enjoy improving/preparing my stock for sale.
Mind you I currently have too many cars & not enough space to operate in properly so the 2.0 TS Spiders & a couple of V6 GTVs still needing preparation could be up for grabs at discounted prices? I'll probably start another thread soon to offer these to AO members first.
