OK this is my plan:
Inboard bushes (No.8) > Replace with PFR1-716
Balljoint > Replace with QH part QSJ1745S
These are from RockAuto Auto Parts
based in America. I've asked and they say they can get them (QH parts) However I expect to get stung by customs. Buypartsby appear to have them in stock, however the last track rod ends I bought from them were poor quality. (They didn't appear to be QH parts either, just carried the same number ?)
Outer Bearing (No.7) > Replace with Mercedes equivalent > £19.09 each
Inner Bearing (No.6) > Replace with Alfa Workshop Part > £40
Outer Bearing (No.3) > Replace with Mercedes equivalent > £19.09
Middle Bush (No.4) > Repalce with Powerflex PFR1-711 > £27.99
Inner Bearing (No.5) > ????? I though I'd read on here this was the same as No.3, however looking at it, it appears to be a smaller diameter bolt which means the Mercedes part wont fit, can anyone confirm? From a brief look, it looks like they might be the same as the spring pan inner?
Upper Wishbones £102.66 (With a potential est. £30 import charge maybe!)
Spring Pans £118.18
Rear Arms £66.17 + est. £60 for inner bearings
£377 (Worse case) Parts only.
Now can anyone see any flaws with my plan? I want to keep the suspension as original as possible, and only replace bushes with powerflex items and retain spherical bearings wherever possible!
