Another diagnostic connector thread
Sorry for starting yet another diagnostic connector thread, but I'm hoping someone can give me a definite answer to this.
I have searched this forum and others to try and locate the engine ECU diagnostic connector on my 1998 ph1 Spider. The "injector" lamp is on and it is doing about 1500 rpm at idle. I have the correct 16 pin lead for my 156 but the Spider has a 3 pin fiat connector. So I know I have to buy or make an adaptor. The only problem I have is that I can only find one connector in the passenger footwell that looks like it may be the correct one, but it only has 2 wires (black and red/white). I have found the ABS connector under the bonnet and the airbag connector in the battery compartment and they both have 3 wires (black, red/white and blue/white).
Does the engine ECU connector only have 2 wires or should I be looking elsewhere?
