Parts Help

I need some help from the knowledge which is the alfa owners forum again!

I have developed a squeak at the back and it has been diagnosed by a local independant as being the (forgive the lack of correct terms) rear offside bottom suspension arm. This is the bit that the spring is held in place with at the bottom. The bushes have worn and this is creating the squeak. The local Alfa dealer has said that this part has to be replaced in its entirety and you cannot get the bushes seperately! They have quoted 340 The independant cannot source the part elsewhere.

I also need a CV joint at the front but do not know what this will cost although I can get this from other places other than an Alfa dealer.

If anyone has an idea where I can get the bushes for this part (if you can tell what I mean) or what the price for the CV joint would be then please let me know.

One thought I had was that the powerflex option exists but are these bushes included in the kit and I would prefer OEM parts as I don't want my pride and joy to shake itself to bits on the rubbish road surfaces we have around here.

Look forward to hearing from someone who knows more than I do.

Many Thanks

I ust got an inner CV joint for my V6 for 20 quid on ebay.
Not fitted yet but it looks like pretty good quality.
This was the place

For bushes in the spring pan arms there are a few places:
ebspares, ebay, gazella racing just a few

Thanks for the quick reply. Relieved I can just get the bushes as I don't want to part with over 300 which can go elsewhere.

alfa workshop do rose joint bushes to repair the spring arms. 70 per side + you'd need to find someone witha prees to remove the old bushes and insert the new ones. The Alfa Workshop, independent specialist Alfa Romeo garage and web resource

The other option is to powerflex them which you don't seem keen on. The old bushes are pressed ( or cut ) out and the powerflex bushes inserted by hand. They're supposed to last better than OEM but I've no personal experience of their longevity.

Alternatively, I think Autolusso do exchange rear arms with the powerflexing already done and optionally powder coated and ready for fitting.
