Re: Help compile GTV/Spider buying guide

I had my cambelt, counter balance belt and variator done last week for a very reasonable £330 parts, labour VAT and even a car wash!. Contact DTR Sports Cars 0208 878 6988. Definitely recomended.

Fix for the Airbag problem. The light comes on if the sensor for the seatbelt under the drivers seat (RHD cars) is disturbed. Unfortunately often just sliding the seat on it's runners is enough to disturb it. The cure is to clean the contacts and secure the plug as best as possible then try not to move the seat with too much enthusiasm! The only way to get the light to go out is to take it to an Alfa dealer and have it rest. They charge about £20 for 3 minutes work and this privelige. After having it done twice, do as I do and live with it.

Exhausts - Just has an after market stainless steel sports system put on (again from DTR) looks and sounds the business but best of all it gives a noticeable difference in mid range torque.

Any other areas you need info on?

Re: Help compile GTV/Spider buying guide

Insurance is always an expensive part as GTV's insurance group is 16 and up. For me being 26, 6 years no claims, 6 points on licence (speeding! ) it costs 760quid.
